BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's ice hockey senior defenseman Carter Horwitz (Tustin, Calif.) has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Macon Mayhem of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL).
"Carter has made me a better person and the Endicott community a better place every day," said Endicott men's ice hockey head coach R.J. Tolan. "With his work ethic, competitive spirit, and exceptional speed, Carter will be a great addition to the Macon team."
In 111 career games for the Gulls (2015-19), Horwitz compiled 20 goals and 44 assists for 64 points. Horwitz also registered three power play goals, one short-handed goal, and four game-winning goals during that span.
Horwitz's all-time program ranks include the following: No. 1 in games played, No. 6 in game-winning goals and assists, No. 8 in points, and No. 10 in goals. In the categories previously mentioned, other than games played, Horwitz is ranked second all-time among defensemen in each one.
