Josh Bowes, Mark Specia Earn CCC Weekly Awards

CCC WEEKLY RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott men's ice hockey student-athletes Josh Bowes (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada) and Mark Specia (Ringwood, N.J.) have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office earlier today. Bowes was named CCC Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Specca garnered CCC Goaltender of the Week accolades.

Last week against No. 15 Nichols (1-1-0), Bowes scored a goal in each of the Gulls' games versus the Bison. He scored a power play goal on the road to open the series on Friday (Nov. 9) and followed that up with a four-point performance on Saturday (Nov. 10). He registered a goal and three assists in the Saturday contest giving him five points for the week. He also finished with a plus-three rating. 

Meanwhile, Specia is the second Gulls' goaltender to receive the award this season - Connor O'Brien (Pinellas Park, Fla.) | Weeks 1-2. Against Nichols on Saturday, Specia made 36 saves, tying a career-high, as Endicott defeated No. 15 Nichols, 6-2. He also finished the game with a .947 save percentage. 

WHAT'S NEXT 

Endicott (3-1-1, 3-1-0 CCC) hosts No. 8/10 nationally ranked Salve Regina at 7 PM on Friday, November 16.
