No. 10/12 Endicott Downs Wentworth, 5-1

ENDICOTT, Mass. – The No. 10/12 nationally ranked Endicott men's ice hockey team defeated Wentworth, 5-1, on Saturday afternoon at the Raymond J. Bourque Arena. 

Jason Kalinowski (Stamford, Conn.) netted the Gulls' first two goals, while Daniel Kucerovy (Bethel Park, Pa.), Logan Day (Seminole, Fla.), and Thomas Daniels (St. Louis, Mo.) each tallied a goal as well. 

Scoring for the Leopards was Jake McDonough (Marshfield, Mass.) with help from Jake Hallisey (Quincy, Mass.).

Justin Ketola (Esko, Minn.) made his first career start in net and made 27 saves to pick up his first win of the season. 

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is 6-1-0 in the all-time series versus Wentworth.
  • The Gulls also have won the last five matchups in a row.
  • Endicott outshot Wentworth, 49-28. 
  • Tallying assists during the win were Kucerovy, Day (2), Ross Olsson (Billerica, Mass.) (2), Connor Costello (Nottingham, N.H.) (2), Nicholas Petrella (Hilton, N.Y.), and Jack Musil (Hull, England).
  • Day led the offense with eight shots.

FOR THE FOES

  • Ryan Hubbard (West Roxbury, Mass.) shifted to 0-3-0 on the season and made 44 saves during the loss.
  • Drew DiGeronimo (Fitchburg, Mass.) paced the offense with four shots.

WHAT'S NEXT 

No. 10/12 Endicott (2-1-0, 2-0-0 CCC) will host Becker on Friday, Nov. 10 at 7 p.m. Wentworth (0-4-0, 0-2-0 CCC) travels to Johnson & Wales (R.I.) for a 6:55 p.m. matchup on Friday, Nov. 10.
