No. 8/9 Endicott, No. 10/10 UNE Skate To 4-4 Tie (OT); Olsson Notches 100th Point

BEVERLY, Mass. – The No. 8/9 Endicott men's ice hockey team skated to a 1-1 overtime tie against conference foe No. 10/10 University of New England (UNE) on Saturday night at Raymond J. Bourque Arena.

Trailing 4-1 headed into the third period, the Nor'easters climbed back into the contest with a short-handed tally from Liam Neuman (Newmarket, Ontario) and back-to-back goals from Ryan Bloom (Northville, Mich.) to tie up the contest at 4-4.

Meanwhile, in overtime, Endicott goalie Mark Specia (Ringwood, N.J.) made two saves and UNE netminder Tate Sproxton (Surrey, British Columbia) stopped five shots – mostly on the penalty kill – as both teams settled for the draw.

Highlighting Endicott's night offensively was Ross Olsson (Billerica, Mass.) as the junior forward potted a hat-trick with his third and finally tally accounting for his 100th career point. Olsson is the first student-athlete in program history to reach the 100 career point plateau.
