BEVERLY, Mass. – Award season continued this week in NCAA Division III college football as Endicott's highly skilled senior kicker Dylan Rushe (Palos Verdes, Calif.) was recognized as a Second Team All-American by Beyond Sports Network (BSN), earning his second career all-american award after being previously named to the D3Football.com Second Team as a placekicker in 2011.

Rushe is the seventh all-american in program history, five of which have been recognized by BSN in 2011.  Taylor Allen '12, Kevin Eagan '12, Phil Konopka '12, Mike Lane '12, and current senior safety Jason Silva (Palatine, Ill.) were all honored following the 2011 season.

Rushe receives BSN All-American honors after being named to the NEFC First Team (KP) and All-Region by the New England Football Writers (P) and D3Football.com (KP).  He was also a four-time NEFC Special Teams Player of the Week.

Rushe was especially efficient in the kicking game, making 14-of-17 field goal attempts including an impressive 5-of-6 from beyond 40 yards.  His season-long was 54 yards and rattled off a streak of 10 straight field goals.  He ranked second on the team with 85 points season, totaling 42 points on field goals and 43 points on PATs.  For his career, Rushe finishes as the program's leader in points scored (356), field goals made (56), punt average (39.6) and punt yardage (5,113).

On the season, Rushe averaged 40.8 yards per punt with 21 of his 43 punts landing inside the opposition's 20 yard line.  Rushe was a key factor in Endicott's run towards the program's second NEFC title in four years as he placed seven punts inside the 20 in the conference championship win over Salve Regina.  He had six punts of over 50 yards with his season-high listed at 63 yards with 12 fair catches and three touchbacks.
