Gulls Place Third At Endicott Home Show

DANVERS, Mass. – The Endicott equestrian team placed third overall out of 12 teams at its own home show on Saturday evening.

Highlighting the Gulls' efforts was Olivia Virgin (Burlington, Mass.) who qualified for regionals in introductory behind a first place performance.

At the show on Saturday, seniors Kathleen Bolduc (Peabody, Mass.), Katie Denker (Woburn, Mass.), Brianna Gallagher (Plymouth, Mass.), and Amber Vuilleumier (Clinton, Conn.) were also honored for their contributions towards the equestrian program and the Endicott community.

"Today went incredibly well thanks to our great group of riders. The show was smooth, the horses were great and the sun was shining," said Endicott equestrian head coach Bethany Jones. "Our riders have been working very hard for this show and that hard work paid off! Almost every rider of the day was in the top-3 places of every class. I couldn't be more proud of this team and I look forward to what they will bring to the table at regional finals at the end of this month."

OTHER SHOW HIGHLIGHTS

  • Hope Forcellina (South Windsor, Conn.) placed first overall in limit flat.
  • Sydney Putnam (Ghent, N.Y.) and Gemma Carson (Calverton, N.Y.) also placed second in limit flat, while Vuilleumier was fifth.
  • Annabella Silva (North Truro, Mass.) ranked second overall in limit fences.
  • Helen Barrow (Swanton, Vt.) and Caitlin Laliberte (Westford, Mass.) were third in intermediate flat and intermediate fences, respectively.
  • Denker finished second in pre-novice, while Gallagher and Ally Arnold (Saugus, Mass.) were fourth.
  • Macayla Loescher (Hubbardston, Mass.) rounded out the list of highlights with a fifth place showing in novice.

Endicott will compete in Regionals on Saturday, March 28 at Holly Hill Show Stables (Hanover, Mass.).
