No. 18 Regionally Ranked Brandeis Downs Endicott, 8-1

WALTHAM, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team fell to No. 18 regionally ranked Brandeis, 8-1, in non-conference action on Sunday evening at the Cordish Tennis Center.

Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) picked up the lone win for the Gulls at No. 6 singles (7-5, 6-3).

"Hats off to Brandeis. They played a strong match and played some unreal doubles," said Endicott women's tennis head coach Anthony D'Angelo. "We really scrapped hard in singles, and didn't back down, which is great to see against a nationally ranked caliber opponent. We are ready for the NCAA Tournament in a few weeks."

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Keaveney is 7-2 in singles this season, which includes a 4-1 mark at No. 6.
  • The Gulls are 6-5 on the road.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (13-7) will compete in the NCAA Tournament starting on Friday, May 13. Brandeis sees its 2021-22 season come to a close at 6-13 overall.
