Merrimack Tops Women’s Tennis On Senior Day, 7-2

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott women's tennis team lost to NCAA Division I program Merrimack College, 7-2, on Senior Day at the South Campus Tennis Courts.

Prior to the match, seniors Justine Hoover (Wallingford, Conn.) and Fernanda Trevino (Dallas, Texas) were honored for their contributions to the program and the Endicott community.

The duo combined for one of the Gulls' victories on the day as Hoover and Trevino earned a hard-fought 8-7 (7-3) win at No. 2 doubles.

Ashley Keaveney (Exeter, N.H.) rounded out the list of highlights for Endicott with a 6-2, 6-3 triumph at No. 6 singles.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Hoover and Trevino are undefeated as a doubles pairing this season (2-0).
  • The Gulls have played two NCAA Division I programs so far during their 2021 campaign.
  • Merrimack head coach Alexi Losano (Saugus, Mass.) earned her second career victory (2-0) at the helm of the program. Losano is a 2019 graduate of Endicott College.

Endicott (6-3) visits Curry on Wednesday, October 13 at 3:30 PM. Merrimack (2-0) travels to Bryant on Friday, October 15 at 1 PM.
