2024 Women's Lacrosse Season Preview

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott women's lacrosse team opens up its 2024 campaign at home on Wednesday, February 21 against Springfield at 4 PM. Here's a look at the upcoming season.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls were picked tied for first overall in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason poll. 
  • Endicott has advanced to the CCC Championship game each of the last seven seasons, three of which they have won (2017, 2018, 2019). The Blue and Green lead the CCC with a league-best 12 conference championships.
  • Head coach Maureen Spellman enters year seven at the helm. She holds a 52-19 (.732) overall record and a 29-1 (.967) conference record. 
  • Reigning CCC Defensive Player of the Year Lydia Akins (Edina, Minn.) is just eight wins away from moving into third all-time for victories.
  • Also returning to the fold in 2024 are CCC All-Conference honorees Matilda Darrah (Dover, N.H.)Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.)Mia Smith (Portsmouth, N.H.), and Nora Staunton (Bloomfield, Conn.).
