Trio Of Gulls Sweep Weekly Awards

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Three members of the Endicott women's lacrosse team have earned Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards, as announced by the league office on Monday.

The trio of Kiana Napolitano (Revere, Mass.)Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.), and Emerson Clark (Gloucester, Mass.) took home Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Defensive Player of the Week, and Rookie of the Week accolades, respectively.


KIANA NAPOLITANO

Napolitano compiled eight goals and nine assists for 17 points in a 2-0 week for the Gulls with both wins coming over CCC opponents Western New England and Nichols

Against Western New England the graduate student recorded four goals and six assists for 10 points. This was the first time in her career she had 10 or more points in a game

Followed up the 10-point game with a seven-point performance (four goals and three assists) against Nichols. Her third goal in the game was Napolitano's 200th point in her career and is the ninth student-athlete in program history to record 200 points or more in a career.

This marks Napolitano's second career CCC Offensive Player of the Week award (3/25/24).


JAIRA PAINE

In a 2-0 week for Endicott, Paine controlled the midfield as she scored four goals and had two assists for six points while defensively, causing four turnovers, scooping up five ground balls, and winning six draw controls.

The senior scored two goals and picked up five ground balls as Endicott defeated Western New England, 18-6. She also won four draw controls and caused three turnovers in the victory.

Paine followed up that performance with another great end-to-end game in the Gulls win over Nichols. The Granby, Conn. native scored two more goals and added two assists while causing another turnover and winning two draw controls. 

This is Paine's second career CCC Defensive Player of the Week award (4/5/21).


EMERSON CLARK

Clark registered eight goals and four assists for 12 points in a 2-0 week for the Gulls with wins over Western New England and Nichols.

Versus Western New England, the freshman attacker set new career highs in both goals and points as she recorded five goals and seven points. Added two assists in the game to go with a ground ball.

Then against Nichols added three more goals and two assists for five points. The Gloucester, Mass. native scooped up another ground ball as well in the win.

This is Clark's third career CCC Rookie of the Week award (3/5/24 and 3/25/24).

Endicott (5-5, 2-0 CCC) travels to Gordon on Tuesday, April 2 at 4 PM.
