Weinstein, DeJesus To Represent Endicott In NEISL Senior All-Star Game

BEVERLY, Mass. — Senior goalkeeper Nick Weinstein (Trumbull, Conn.) and senior back Jonathan DeJesus (Bridgeport, Conn.) have been chosen to compete in the New England Intercollegiate Soccer League (NEISL) Senior All-Star game on Sunday, November 27 at Brandeis University at 1:00 p.m.

The Endicott men's soccer team is proud to send Weinstein and DeJesus to the game, as they join Abdulla Al Khalifa (Riffa, Bahrain) and Diego Slobotzky (Mexico City, Mexico) as representatives of the Gulls' program in back-to-back years.

In two full seasons playing at Endicott, Weinstein became the program's career shutouts and wins leader, with 24 clean sheets and 28 wins. He was named the 2016 Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Year and landed a spot on the All-CCC First Team for the second consecutive year.

In three seasons playing for the Gulls, DeJesus earned an All-CCC Third Team nod in his final campaign as a key member of Endicott's back line that recorded a CCC-leading 11 shutouts and allowed the fewest goals among the conference schools (13) during the regular season.

Endicott (12-5-3) finished the 2016 season as the regular-season CCC champions to earn the No. 1 heading into the conference tournament before falling to Western New England University in penalty kicks in the CCC Semifinals. The Gulls have now won 12 or more games in each of the past three seasons.
