Gulls Receive NFHCA Academic Awards

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team has been honored with several academic awards from the National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA).

Meg Arnette (Merrimac, Mass.), Kate Harris (Andover, Mass.), Caroline Harvey (Dover, Mass.), and Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) all claimed Scholars of Distinction accolades for achieving a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.9 or higher through the first semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

As a team, Endicott was one of 61 programs presented with the National Academic Team Award (3.50 GPA or higher/first semester).

Meanwhile, the following list of student-athletes also earned National Academic Squad honors for achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher through the first semester of the 2023-24 academic year.

YEAR IN REVIEW

Endicott compiled a 16-5 record overall while notching a 4-1 record in conference play. They finished the season ranked No. 25 in final NFHCA poll. 

The Gulls captured their sixth Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship in program history when they defeated Roger Williams 2-1. This earned them an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament as they fell to No. 24 Ithaca, 2-1 (OT).

Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.)Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.), Lehouiller, and Swanson were all named to the NFHCA All-Region team as well.
