Field Hockey Doubles Up Worcester State, 6-3

BEVERLY, Mass.— The Endicott field hockey team defeated Worcester State, 6-3, in non-conference action on Thursday night from North Field.

Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) highlighted the offense with her fourth multi-goal game of the season (27:37 | 58:02).

Kathleen Reissfelder (Westwood, Mass.) got the scoring started less than five minutes into the game, while Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.) later broke a 1-1 deadlocked score off a penalty corner play via a feed from Abby Antonelli (Worcester, Mass.) at the 21:19 mark.

Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) made it 3-1 a few moments later (24:38) on another Antonelli helper before Swanson closed out the half with her first of two tallies at 27:37.

In the fourth, Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.) bumped the Gulls' advantage to 5-2 with a great individual effort, which included a crossover deke and a finesse shot into the lower right corner of the cage, with 53:02 on the clock. Swanson capped the scoring exactly five minutes later via a slot pass from Reissfelder.

In goal, Alexis DeMattia (Methuen, Mass.) made two saves to improve to 6-1 overall.
