Field Hockey Takes Care Of Cabrini, 6-3

BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated Cabrini, 6-3, in back-and-forth action on Saturday morning from North Field.

Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) highlighted the attack for the Gulls scoring a hat-trick in the first half (7:59 | 19:29 | 20:42).

Following a Cabrini goal at 25:44 to make it 3-2, Kathleen Reissfelder (Westwood, Mass.) responded for the Gulls less than a minute later to take a 4-2 lead into the half.

The Cavaliers brought the contest within a score once again at 37:25, but Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.) and Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) solidified the win for Endicott with tallies at 51:46 and 58:09.

In goal, Brianna Anslow (Clifton Park, N.Y.) and Alexis DeMattia (Methuen, Mass.) both made four saves in the victory.

Anslow was credited with the victory (1-0) in cage over 40 minutes of action.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 2-0 in the all-time series.
  • Second career hat-trick for Swanson (9/28/22).
  • Hicks dished out a career-high two assists in the victory.

Endicott (8-2) welcomes Vermont State Castleton to campus on Wednesday, October 4 at 7 PM. Cabrini (5-4) travels to Neumann for a conference game on Wednesday, October 4 at 7 PM.
