Field Hockey Blanks Nichols, 10-0

DUDLEY, Mass. — The Endicott field hockey team defeated Nichols, 10-0, to open Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) play on Saturday afternoon at Vendetti Field.

Endicott had eight different goal scorers in the contest led by Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.) and Reagan Hicks (Barnstable, Mass.) who both netted two in the victory.

Abby Antonelli (Worcester, Mass.), Natalia Arjona (Ashland, Mass.), Gracie Bolduc (Weare, N.H.), Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.), Brooke Yabroudy (Nashua, N.H.), and Emma Wilichoski (Danvers, Mass.) all found the back of the net once to round out the scoring for the Gulls.

Taylor Stone (Old Saybrook, Conn.) also dished out a career-high three assists, all of them in consecutive order on Wilichoski (21:43), Bolduc (26:24), and Hicks' second tally (50:46) of the matchup.

In goal, Alexis DeMattia (Methuen, Mass.) picked up the victory over 30 minutes of action to move to 5-1 overall on the season.

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Endicott is now 26-4 in the all-time series, having not lost since 2013.
  • The Gulls scored 10 goals against Nichols last season (10-1, 10/25/22)
  • It was the first career goal for Arjona, Bolduc, and Wilichoski.
  • First multi-goal game of Hicks' career.

WHAT'S NEXT

Endicott (4-1, 1-0 CCC) hosts Worcester State on Thursday, September 21 at 7 PM. Nichols (3-3, 0-1 CCC) welcomes Eastern Connecticut State to its campus on Tuesday, September 19 at 7 PM.
