CCC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 2 Endicott Visits No. 1 Roger Williams This Saturday For Conference Title

BEVERLY, Mass. — The second-seeded Endicott field hockey team (15-4) travels to top-seeded Roger Williams (12-5) on Saturday, November 4 for the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Championship at 12 PM. Here's a preview of Saturday's title bout on Bayside Field. 

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • The Gulls are 16-2 in the all-time series versus the Hawks, which includes Endicott falling to Roger Williams in this year's regular season meeting, 3-2, on September 23.
  • This will be Endicott's 17th time playing in the CCC Championship, while the Hawks will be making their first-ever CCC Championship appearance on Saturday.
  • Roger Williams sophomore forward Chelsea King (Schenectady, N.Y.) leads the CCC in goals (21), assists (10, tied), and points (52).
  • The Hawks (4.176) and the Gulls (4.105) rank No. 1 and No. 2 in goals per game in the CCC headed into this weekend's matchup.
  • Tori Swanson (Farmington, Conn.)Maddy Dengler (Winchester, Mass.), and Kathleen Reissfelder (Westwood, Mass.) enter the championship as three of the top five goal scorers in the conference with 20, 13, and 11, respectively.

WHAT'S NEXT

The winner of Saturday's contest will be crowned the 2023 CCC Field Hockey Champion and earn the league's automatic bid into the NCAA Division III Field Hockey Tournament.
