Lehouiller Earns NFHCA Senior Team Honors

NFHCA SENIOR TEAM ANNOUNCEMENT

MANAHAWKIN, NJ — The National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) proudly recognized 60 members of the 2023 NFHCA Division III Senior Team on Wednesday, November 15, and the Endicott College field hockey program saw Meghan Lehouiller (Colchester, Vt.) be recognized.

The members of the 2023 Division III Senior Team were initially announced on Wednesday morning with a news release and highlight video of each player. In addition to the announcement, a trophy will be delivered to each honoree and commemorative t-shirts can be bought by friends and family through the NFHCA Senior Team store.

Lehouiller played a key role in the Gulls' back line all season long, as she was named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Year. The defense allowed just 31 goals all season (1.56 GAA) and recording seven shutouts in total. This season she registered eight defensive saves (17th in DIII) with two coming in league play.

Lehouiller manufactured her second career goal against Worcester State on September 21 and disturbed four assists for a personal-best six points this season.

Along with being named Defensive Player of the Year, Lehouiller was named First-Team All-CCC. She is the first student-athlete to be named to the Senior Team since Abby Carter, Taylor Farrin, and Sydeney Poulin were all recognized in 2021.
