CCC Athlete of the Week Release
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) released their weekly awards and freshman Brittany Bushey (Pittsford, Vt.) of the field hockey team earned accolades. Bushey earned her first Rookie of the Week nod for her performances last week as the Gulls improved to 4-1 (1-0 CCC).
Bushey played in two strong contests this past week helping give the Blue and Green two victories. The rookie was able to rip a shot in a tough overtime battle with the Corsairs that came out in Endicott's favor. In the first conference matchup of the season Bushey came out of the gates firing as she tallied one goal on just two shots to help live the Gulls to a 3-0 shutout victory. Bushey is now tied for first on the team in goals (3) and fourth on the team in points (6).
Endicott will see action next on Tuesday, September 16th as they host non-conference opponent Westfield State for a 7:00 p.m. matchup on North Field.
