Leary and Sawchuck to Represent Endicott Field Hockey at the NFHCA Division III Senior Game

CHANDLER, Ariz. – After successful careers, two members of the Endicott field hockey team have been selected to represent the program in the Victory Sports Tour/National Field Hockey Coach's Association (NFHCA) Division III Senior Game in Lexington, Virginia.

Forward, Emily Sawchuck (Cumberland, Maine) and defender Meghan Leary (Hampton Falls, N.H.) were each selected to the All-Star event which is set for Saturday, November 22nd at 4:00 p.m. at Washington & Lee University, site of the NCAA Division III National Championship.

The games will feature a total of 59 total players, selected from the Division III teams from all over the nation that will split into four teams to compete. Senior players are nominated by their coaches and then chosen by a national selection committee.

Both Sawchuck and Leary have had very successful careers in a Blue and Green jersey as they are eager to wrap up their careers in the 2014 post season this fall.

Over the course of the career of Sawchuck, thus far she has been named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Rookie of the Year, All-CCC First Team twice, All-CCC Second team in 2012 and NFHCA New England Second Team All-Region in 2011. She has compiled 60 goals, 26 assists and 146 points in her 76 games played so far as she leads the program in all offensive categories all-time.

Leary has been named All-CCC First Team twice, All-CCC Second Team in 2013, NFHCA New England First Team in 2012 and NFHCA New England Second Team in 2011. She has played in 76 total games while starting in 75. The defender has compiled three goals and eight assists for 14 points while sitting in second all-time in the program for minutes played.

Leary and Sawchuck are just two of three players selected from the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) to earn the honor of competing in the games, joining the pair is Beth Sullivan of the University of New England.
