BEVERLY, MA - Endicott College sophomore forward Jennifer Rheaume (Blackstone,MA/Blackstone-Millville Regional) scored with 1:56 left in overtime to propel Endicott past American International College, 1-0, Tuesday afternoon in a non-league matchup.
Rheaume scored her team-leading eighth goal of the season on a breakaway where she beat the goaltender on a flick to the glove side.
The Gulls improved to 7-3 overall (1-1 CCC) while AIC fell to 0-11. Endicott fired 16 shots on AIC netminder Cindy Armand (Danvers, MA/Danvers) and had seven corners in the first half but could not break through the sophomore.
Erin Curry (Hampstead, NH/Gould Academy) recorded her fifth shutout thanks in part to a great defensive effort by junior Lyndsay Woods (York, ME/York).
Junior Lindsay Fallon (Southampton, NY/Southampton) recorded six shots on goal for Endicott, which travels to Bridgewater Thursday (4:00 pm).
