BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott women's lacrosse student-athletes Alexandra Rose (East Lyme, Conn.) and Jaira Paine (Granby, Conn.) were named Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Defensive Player of the Week, and Rookie of the Week, the conference office announced earlier today.
Rose, earned her first win of the season in Endicott's 24-6 victory over Salve Regina on Saturday.
In Saturday's win, the senior goaltender recorded four stops in just 30 minutes of work. Rose also had an impressive 16 save showing in Endicott's 12-5 defeat at No. 18 Trinity on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Paine finds her name on the weekly awards list for the first time, after an impressive showing on Saturday, in her first collegiate start. In the win over Salve Regina, the freshman midfielder had a team-high five caused turnovers, to go along with three ground balls, and three draw controls.
WHAT'S NEXT
Endicott (1-1, 1-0 CCC) will travel to Gordon on Thursday, April 1 for a 5 PM game.
