BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College ended the game on a six-goal run as the Gulls fired past Roger Williams, 13-6, on Saturday morning in Beverly, Mass. The win improves Endicott to 5-2 overall, while the setback snaps a four-game winning streak for the Hawks, dropping them to 4-2.

The Gulls scoring effort was led by junior attacker Valerie Feldman (Albany, N.Y.) and senior midfielder Alex Pearce (Underhill, Vt.), who scored four goals apiece. The Hawks were paced by sophomore attacker Kate Malenczak (Sayville, N.Y.), who had two goals in the loss.

The Gulls jumped out to an early lead as Feldman and Pearce notched back-to-back goals in the opening minutes before junior attacker Kasey Beckwith (Franklin, Conn.) responded with a score of her own for Roger Williams. Endicott dominated the next 20 minutes of play, rattling off five straight goals and pushing its lead to 7-1 with less than five minutes remaining in the first half. The Hawks gained some momentum as the half came to a close, netting two goals to pull within four, 7-3.

The Hawks were hot to start the second half, tallying three more goals in the first 10 minutes and closing the Gulls' lead to 7-6. The Endicott defense, anchored by senior goalie Molly Hamel (North Yarmouth, Maine), cranked up its intensity to halt the Roger Williams rally, not allowing another goal in regulation. Feldman and Pearce each added two more goals for the Gulls, and freshman midfielder Morgan DeShaw (Danville, N.H.) put home her second and third goals of the contest to seal the Endicott victory.

The Hawks were out-shot 39-22 in the game, including a 24-6 advantage for the Gulls in the first half. Pearce's five total points led all scorers, while sophomore defender Erica Palmer (Branford, Conn.) of Roger Williams had a game-high four draw controls.

The Gulls (5-2) return to action Wednesday, April 1st when they visit Wellesley College to face the Blue Pride. Roger Williams (4-2) will travel to Springfield, Mass. to take on Western New England on Monday, March 31st.
