WENHAM, Mass. - The Endicott College women's lacrosse team won their second-straight The Commonwealth Coast Conference game by defeating Gordon College, 13-10, in a closely contested contest at the Brigham Athletic Complex on a cold Wednesday night. The Gulls improve to 4-2 (2-0 TCCC) while the Fighting Scots drop to 1-3 (1-1 TCCC). Endicott's Alex Pearce (Underhill, Vt.) scored a game-high six goals to lead the Gulls.

Gordon struck in the game's opening minute on a goal by Annie Cameron (South Hamilton, Mass.). However, Valerie Feldman (Albany, N.Y.) tied the score at one just moments later. Gordon took a 2-1 advantage after Katie Knaus (Kensington, Conn.) scored her first goal, but that would be the only time the Scots were ahead for the remainder of the game. Three first half goals by Pearce gave Endicott a 5-4 lead at the break.

Freshman Hala Coker (East Falmouth, Mass.) knotted the score at 5-5 when she scored a shorthanded goal just :17 seconds into the second half. The two teams traded goals and were tied at 6-6 when Pearce put her team up front for good with 22:49 remaining in the game.

A number of terrific individual efforts by Knaus helped keep the game close, but the Scots got no closer than 12-10 with 1:26 to play.

The two offensive stars of the night were Endicott's Alex Pearce and Gordon's Katie Knaus, as the two combined for 11 goals, with Pearce leading all scorers with six tallies, and Knaus scoring five times. Valerie Feldman also chipped in with three goals and a pair of assists in the victory.

Leah Neff (South Berwick, Maine) picked up the win in net for the Gulls, totaling 6 saves. Scots goalkeeper Chyanne Wilson (Pearl River, N.Y.) suffered the setback for the Scots as she made a game-high nine saves in the defeat.

Gordon will be back in action on Saturday when they host Salve Regina at 2:00 p.m., while Endicott will play host to Roger Williams Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
