BOSTON, Mass. — The Endicott women's basketball team led wire-to-wire in a 64-49 conference victory over Wentworth on Monday night at Tansey Gymnasium.
The Gulls outscored the Leopards 26-4 in the first quarter and never looked back.
Tara Laugeni (Woodbridge, Conn.) paced Endicott offensively behind a game-high 21 points alongside eight rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Sarah Dempsey (Windham, N.H.) and Libby Fleming (Bangor, Maine) also contributed 11-10-1 and 10-8-2 (PTS/RBS/ASTS), respectively, in the Gulls' fourth straight win (1/8-1/17).
BEYOND THE BOX SCORE
- The Gulls are 33-3 all-time against Wentworth.
- Endicott has won 11 straight games versus the Leopards dating back to 1/14/2016.
- Wentworth only brought the game under 10 points once in the contest (41-32, 2:35, third) after falling behind 26-4 in the first quarter.
- Dempsey notched her seventh straight double-double (ninth career).
- The Gulls recorded 19 steals on the night (tied eighth all-time in program history).
- Endicott is 5-2 on the road this season.
