Softball Lands 14 On Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete List

EASTON/NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR ATHLETE RELEASE 

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott softball team saw 14 student-athletes named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for the 2017-18 season, as announced by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association. The squad also had the sixth highest team GPA out of all DIII institutions. 

Earning individual honors were Adrianna Favreau (Tewksbury, Mass.), Cailin Cleary (Massapequa, N.Y.), Emily Sharpe (South Glens Falls, N.Y.), Hannah Llewellyn (Danvers, Mass.), Jamie Hopgood (Warwick, R.I.), Kayla Sheldon (Burlington, Mass.), KK Palmerino (Glenmont, N.Y.), Laura Somerville (Suffield, Conn.), Maddie Connelly (Franklin, Mass.), Maggie Oram (Lexington, Mass.), Michaela Hamill (Lynn, Mass.), Olivia Odermatt (Cheshire, Conn.), Peyton Atkins (Goshen, N.Y.), and Zoe Rose (Carlstadt, N.J.)

In order to earn Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete accolades, the individual is required to have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. 

TOP-10 TEAM GPA 

The Gulls' overall team GPA also placed them in the Top-10 of all Division III institutions. The team recorded an overall GPA of 3.615 for the 2017-18 year which earned them sixth place.

EASTON/NFCA ALL-AMERICAN SCHOLAR-ATHLETE PROGRAM

The rankings and honors recognize the academic prowess of softball teams across the Association's membership categories. NCAA Division III led the way with 1,600 student-athletes earning a 3.5 grade-point average or higher for 2017-18. Overall, 6,280 softball players earned Easton / NFCA Scholar-Athlete honors.
