Men’s Tennis Remains Unbeaten in CCC Play

MILTON, Mass. – The Endicott men's tennis team traveled to Curry College on Thursday afternoon for a Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) matchup. Three Gulls did not lose a game in singles play while junior Tim Forance (Natick, Mass.) and Eric Gandrup (Sudbury, Mass.) swept their opponent 8-0 in doubles play in the #2 slot to help lift the Blue and Green to a 9-0 triumph. Endicott improves to 7-5 (5-0 CCC) while the Colonels fall to 2-12 (1-5 CCC).

To take the early 3-0 lead in doubles play Gandrup and Forance took the first win of the afternoon. In the #1 slot senior Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) and sophomore Michael Dolph (Stratford, Conn.) took their opponent in an 8-3 decision. To wrap up before singles play junior Jason Tarpey (Burlington, Mass.) and senior Keller Dinan (Monterey, Mass.) made their spring debut in the #3 slot of doubles together as they soared over their opponents with an 8-3 victory.

(#3) Dolph drew first in singles play in an impressive 6-0, 6-0 decision. Securing the win with the fifth victory of the match, sophomore (#6) Clay Arnold (Ivoryton, Conn.) followed suit with a 6-0, 6-0 score. (#2) Forance (6-1, 6-1) and (#1) Ross (6-2, 6-0) also posted strong finishes as they ended the match third and fourth. To wrap up the sweep freshman (#4) Sean McAndrews (Vineyard Haven, Mass.) junior (#5) Justin Warshavsky (East Hartford, Conn.) took their opponents with ease (6-0, 6-0 and 6-3, 6-2) to secure the shutout victory.

Endicott takes the court next, tomorrow Friday, April 18th as they host Roger Williams and celebrate Evan Ross and Keller Dinan for Senior Day at 3:30 p.m.
