BEVERLY, MA - The Endicott College men's tennis team stayed unbeaten in Commonwealth Coast Conference play on Friday, as the Gulls hastily defeated Nichols College, 9-0 in Beverly, MA.
Endicott swept their way through both the singles and doubles competition, led by the play of 2006 Rookie of the Year Josh Schoen (Phoenix, AZ/Arcadia). Dan Murray (Coventry, RI/Bishop Hendricken), Nemanja Marinkovic (Belgrade, Serbia/Second Baptist/Houston, TX), Scott Teller (Granville, NY/Granville Junior/Senior High), Marc Maloney (Feeding Hills, MA/Agawam) and Parker Olen (Falmouth, ME/Falmouth) all secured singles wins for the Blue and Green.
The duo of Schoen and Murray defeated Dayna Ankstitus (Marlboro, MA/Marlboro) and Jason Matthews (Sanford, ME/Sanford) in a doubles contest, 8-1. Nemanja Marinkovic and Teller notched a victory while Maloney and Nate Buell (Westfield, MA/Westfield) also got in the winning column on Friday as well.
Endicott returns to the courts on Tuesday, April 10th at they play host to Colby-Sawyer College. The Chargers and Gulls are set for a 3:30 PM game time on Tuesday.
