Four Players Honored by CCC

Endicott College senior Ryan Vigilant has been named 2nd Team All Conference, as announced by the Commonwealth Coast Conference. His strong defensive play on the soccer field during his final season at Endicott gives him this honor.

The Westford, MA native displayed strong defense this season. Contributing offensively as well, Vigilant added two goals and one assist for the Gulls. "Ryan is a fantastic defender," Head Coach Stefano Franciosa said. "He was the anchor of our defense this past year. He is very fast and plays very physical. Because of his style of play and athletic ability he was for the most part matched with the opposing teams' best forward."

Vigilant's composure and patience on the field along with his sportsmanship and dedication to the team makes him a senior that his teammates will miss.


Josh Lewis (Groveland, MA) has earned 2nd Team All-Conference Honors by the CCC for his exceptional play in his sport.

The senior forward scored 12 goals and tallied four assists for a total of 28 points this season. "Josh is one of the best forwards in the conference," Head Coach Stefano Franciosa said. "He has exceptional quickness and natural ability in finding the back of the net. In his three years on the soccer team Josh has demonstrated that he can score goals on free shots, penalty kicks, with his head and with both feet."

Lewis received Honorable Mention Honors this season for Player of the Week. His leadership both on and off the field made him an outstanding team player.


Junior student athlete Dan Duvernoy (Hamilton, NY) has received an Honorable Mention to the All Conference Team, as announced by the Commonwealth Coast Conference for his outstanding play on the soccer field.

Duvernoy finished the season with two goals and three assists, anchoring the Gulls midfield. He is a three-year All-Conference player and has been the teams' captain for two years. "Dan has been a great asset to the team for the past three years." Head Coach Stefano Franciosa He received Honorable Mention Player of the Week once during the season.

"He is a very hard working midfielder with great technique and excellent foot work," Head Coach Stefano Franciosa said. "He sees the field well and can create as well as defend at midfield."


First-year player Elias Carrero (Great Barrington, MA) has received an Honorable Mention for the All-Conference Team, as announced by the Commonwealth Coast Conference for his outstanding performances during the past soccer season.

Carrero was honored with Rookie of the Week once during the season, and received Honorable Mention on two different occasions. "He is a unique soccer player," commented Head Coach Stefano Franciosa. "He has great balance, outstanding recovery speed, excellent technique and a great shot with both feet. He demonstrates outstanding athletic ability and set high standards of excellence on and off the field."

Carrero is an asset to the Gulls, and will continue to be a valuable contributor in the upcoming years.
