Cosco earns New England Player of the Week

April 10, 2008

BEVERLY, Mass. - Just three days after earning The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, Endicott College junior attackman Nick Cosco (Londonderry, N.H.) has been named the ECAC New England Player of the Week for his pair of standout games against Nichols and Gordon College.

Cosco, helping fuel the offense for the 17th-ranked team in the nation, netted nine goals and four assists for 13 points in a pair of TCCC wins last week. Cosco had a hand in six of the Gulls' seven goals against cross-town rival Gordon College, as he scored four times and tallied a pair of assists. Against Nichols, Cosco found the back of the net five times and again added a pair of helpers in the, 22-1, victory.

The Gulls retook the field just two days ago as the Blue and Green stepped out of conference play to host Tufts University. Cosco was once again stellar, burying five goals in Endicott's, 10-7, win over the Jumbos. The victory marked the program's first ever against their NESCAC foes.

Cosco will now take his act on the road as the Gulls travel to Biddeford, Maine on Saturday to face-off with the University of New England. Game time is slated for 1:00 p.m.
