Dube, Ortolani earn conference honors

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College junior attackman Brandon Dube (Danvers, Mass.) and junior midfielder John Ortolani (Billerica, Mass.) have been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive and Defensive Player(s) of the Week, as announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Monday afternoon.

Brandon Dube earns conference honors as he netted the game-winner with just 55-seconds left in overtime as the 16th-ranked Gulls knocked-off No. 4 Wesleyan, 6-5, on Monday in Beverly, Mass. Dube scored a total of three points in the contest, scoring two goals and notching an assist.. Against Babson, Dube scored a goal and dished out three assists to help keep the Gulls unbeaten on the season.

Ortolani notches defensive recognition as he went 21-of-29 (72.4%) from the face-off X in Endicott's two contests last week. Against fourth-ranked Wesleyan, Ortolani went 11-of-15, including 10-of-11 in the final three quarters to help lead the Gulls to the upset win. For the week, Ortolani scooped-up 13 groundballs and added an assist for the Blue and Green.

The Gulls, who have moved up to No. 13 in the latest USILA National Poll, put their unblemished 5-0 record on the line tomorrow afternoon as they travel to Norton, Mass. to face-off with Wheaton College. Game time is slated for 4:00 p.m.
