March 11, 2008

BEVERLY, Mass. - Endicott College junior midfielder Eddie O'Reilly (Beverly, Mass.) has been named The Commonwealth Coast Conference Offensive Player of the Week, announced by TCCC Commissioner Gregg Kaye on Monday afternoon.

O'Reilly helped lead Endicott to an impressive 3-0 start as he collected 13 points on nine goals and four assists in games against nationally-ranked Springfield College, RPI and TCCC foe Wentworth. His three goals per game average has helped fuel Endicott to the No. 16 spot on the USILA National Poll. O'Reilly also scooped-up 10 ground balls last week for the Blue and Green.

Following his Offensive Player of the Week announcement, O'Reilly helped lead the men's lacrosse team to its largest program win in College history, upsetting America's fourth-ranked team and 2007 national semifinalist, Wesleyan University, 6-5 in overtime.

The Gulls look to move to 5-0 and crack the top-10 for the first their history as they host Babson College on Saturday afternoon at 1:00 p.m.
