BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's basketball graduate forward Marcus Montagnino (Gloucester, Mass.) has been named the Conference of New England's (CNE) Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday afternoon.
In a 2-0 week for the Gulls against Curry (82-57) and Wentworth (73-58), Montagnino averaged 18.5 points per game (54.5 FG%), 6.5 rebounds, and 3.5 assists.
Montagnino compiled 13 points and four rebounds versus Curry on Tuesday, and then followed up with a 24-point, nine-rebound, three-assist, and two-steal effort against Wentworth on Saturday.
This marks Montagnino's eighth CNE Rookie of the Week award this season, and sixth consecutive (11/18/24, 11/25/24, 12/9/24, 1/6/25, 1/13/25, 1/21/25, 1/27/25).
