Daquan Sampson Named CCC Men’s Basketball Player Of The Week

BEVERLY, Mass. – Endicott junior forward Daquan Sampson (Germantown, Md.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the first time in his career for his efforts in games played from December 28 to January 3.

Sampson averaged 19.0 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 1.0 block per game as the Gulls went 1-2 in their three contests last week. Sampson started the week by posting his fourth double-double of the season in a narrow loss to Salem State. He contributed a career-high 28 points and 12 rebounds. Over the three games he shot 56.4 percent (22-for-29) from the field.

So far this season, Sampson is currently averaging 14.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game to go along with a 56.0 field goal percentage and a 79.3 free throw percentage.

Endicott (5-5) returns to action tomorrow on the road against Curry College in a CCC matchup scheduled to tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
