Kamahl Walker Recognized As ECAC DIII New England All-Star

ECAC 2016 DIVISION III NEW ENGLAND MEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-STAR TEAM 

Beverly, Mass.  Endicott men's basketball junior guard Kamahl Walker (Worcester, Mass.) has been named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) 2016 Division III New England All-ECAC Second Team as announced today by the conference office. 

Walker was one of two Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) representatives and earned his second straight All-ECAC honor as he landed on the Third Team in 2014-15. In addition, Walker was also named to the D3Hoops.com All-Northeast Region Fourth Team this season.

This season, the All-CCC First Team member set career-highs in nearly every category: minutes played (852), field goals made (179), free throws made (152), free throw percentage (85.4 percent), points scored (554), points per game (26.0), assists (85), assists per game (3.3), steals (44), steals per game (1.6), blocks (8), and blocks per game (0.3).

Walker became the 13th student-athlete in program history to reach the 1,000 point milestone (12/29/15) and fourth to do so as a junior, and set a new career-high with 47 points and made 23-of-23 free throws to etch his name on two program records in the team's 100-88 loss at Keene St. on 11/15/15.

In 27 games played, he had 12 games this season with 20+ points, (three 30+) and 26 games in double figures to move to fourth all-time on the program's scoring leaders list at 1,340 career points. 

The Gulls finished the season at 19-11 overall, won their second consecutive CCC Championship, and advanced to the NCAA DIII Second Round for the first time in program history.
