Club Hockey Ranked #7 in ACHA Northeast Region

BEVERLY, Mass. – The American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) has released its second rankings of the 2012-13 season and Endicott's men's club hockey program sits at #7 in the Northeast Region.

With that ranking, the Gulls are in line to secure a place in the ACHA Northeast Regional playoffs and to play for a chance to advance to the National Tournament, which this year is hosted by Saint Louis University.

After the fifth and final regional rankings of the year, the top two teams in each region receive automatic invites to the national tournament, while teams #3-10 play in a bracketed competition for the final two regional berths.

The Gulls are looking to make their third ever appearance in the regional tournament. After their first showing in 2007, Endicott reached the first round last year and is looking to make it back to back. They are currently ranked in front of teams like Boston College and Siena, who knocked them out of last year's regional tournament.

Now on a five game win streak, Endicott has posted a record of 7-5-1 this year. They have not lost since November 3rd and most recently have scored tight wins over Bryant College and Northeastern University.

They will get a shot at University of New Hampshire, the number one team in the Northeast rankings, in their next game, a 7:30 pm contest on December 1st at Pingree School.
