Men’s Ice Hockey Unbeaten in Last Two Games, Prepares for Boston College

BEVERLY, Mass. – In their last two home games, Endicott's club ice hockey program is unbeaten, recording a victory and an overtime tie, bringing their record this year to 2-4-1.

Endicott defeated Central Connecticut State University 4-3 on October 20th before skating to a 3-3 tie last Saturday evening against Keene State.

Against the Owls, the Gulls traded goals early thanks to a tally from Cameron MacLeod (Hampton Falls, N.H.). After trailing 2-1 heading to the break, Clark Dumart (Shrewsbury, Mass.) evened the game for the Gulls on an assist from William Lomas (Weston, Mass.).

Keene State regained the lead three and a half minutes into the third but Endicott's Zach Pettingill (Scarborough, Maine) scored the game-tying goal with 12:22 remaining. Both teams were stymied over the last half of the third period and in overtime, when sophomore goaltender Sam Cohen (Fairfax, Va.) made four of his 27 stops for Endicott.

The Gulls also fell behind first in their game against Central Connecticut State, but answered with three straight goals to seize control of the game. Tad Gold (Martha's Vineyard, Mass.) had a goal and an assist in the first period, while junior Ryan Pratt (Waltham, Mass.) assisted on Endicott's first three goals, and the Gulls took a 3-1 lead into the first break.

MacLeod and Travis Dion (Saco, Maine) scored in the first for the Gulls, while Dumart netted in the second period after Central Connecticut had pulled back a score.

The Gulls will continue their home-stand this Saturday when they face another division rival in the Boston College Eagles. The game will be played at Pingree School and puck drop is slated for 7:30 pm.
