Endicott Edged, 4-3, By No. 5 UMass Boston

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott baseball team fell to No. 5 UMass Boston, 4-3 (10 innings), in non-conference action on Monday night at North Field.

Bobby Tramondozzi (Peabody, Mass.) was credited with the win (4-0) on two innings pitched, two hits, one run (earned), no walks, and four strikeouts. Meanwhile, Will Bryant (Cumberland, Maine) was dealt the hard-luck loss on one inning, no hits, one run (unearned), two walks, and one strikeout.

Tied 3-3 in the top of the tenth inning, the Beacons took advantage of two miscues (dropped fly ball and a throwing error) that allowed Chris Fowler (Barnstable, Mass.) to score on a little league home run. That run eventually stood up as Tramondozzi recorded bookend strikeouts, with a fly ball to right field sandwiched in between, to push UMass Boston to 28-7 on the season.

Endicott tied up the game in the bottom of the ninth on a Brad Rebello (Bellingham, Mass.) RBI single to second base after Dan Cacciola (Saugus, Mass.) doubled with two outs and advanced to third on a wild pitch before scoring.
