CCC BASEBALL PRESEASON COACHES' POLL RELEASE
BEVERLY, Mass. — The Endicott baseball team has been picked to finish second in the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) preseason coaches' poll, as announced by the league office earlier today.
Two-time defending CCC Champion Salve Regina University was tabbed to repeat as conference champions behind 79 points, which included eight of the nine first-place votes in the poll. Endicott followed in second with 71 points, while Western New England was selected third (62).
Meanwhile, Nichols checked in at fourth overall with 56 points - which included the final first-place vote in the poll - and Curry ranked fifth with 39 points to round out the top-5 squads on the list.
Roger Williams (36), Gordon (28), Wentworth (21), and Eastern Nazarene (13) followed in respective order to conclude the results in the CCC Baseball preseason coaches' poll.
Endicott, winners of 25 or more games in eight consecutive seasons, begins its 2018 slate with a home game against Stevens on Sunday, March 4 at 12 PM. After their regular season opener, the Gulls will travel to California to play seven contests all against West Coast teams in the California Invitational.
