Women's Basketball Lands Two On All-CCC Team

Junior forward Hannah Shaw and junior guard Hannah Kiernan were named to the All-Conference team.

CCC WOMEN'S BASKETBALL ALL-CONFERENCE RELEASE

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. The Endicott women's basketball team placed two Gulls on the All-Conference team as announced this evening by the conference office.

Junior forward Hannah Shaw (Bar Harbor, Maine) was the lone Gull appearing on the All-CCC First Team, while classmate Hannah Kiernan (Wenham, Mass.) earned an All-CCC Third Team nod.

ALL-CCC FIRST TEAM

Hannah Shaw | Jr. | F | Bar Harbor, Maine

Shaw is now a two-time All-CCC selection, as she earned Third Team recognition last season and was the 2014-15 Rookie of the Year. In her junior season, Shaw was the CCC Player of the Week (12/05/16) and was named to the Skidmore College Invitational All-Tournament Team. Shaw tied the program record for most steals in a game with nine against Curry on Nov. 30, 2016 and tied for the second-most rebounds in a game (20) at Nichols on Feb. 8, 2017 to highlight her junior campaign. She also now holds the program record for single-season defensive rebounds average with 6.8 on the year.

ALL-CCC THIRD TEAM

Hannah Kiernan | Jr. | G | Wenham, Mass.

Kiernan is first-time All-CCC honoree and currently leads the Gulls in scoring with 269 points. This season, she posted career-highs in nearly every category, including a career-best 19 points against Salve Regina on Feb. 14, 2017 and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds on three occasions (12/10/16, 01/21/17, 01/25/17).

WHAT'S NEXT

The Gulls earned the No. 4 seed in the conference tournament after posting a 13-12 overall record and 12-6 ledger in CCC play. Endicott will host No. 5 Salve Regina in the CCC Quarterfinals on Tuesday, February 21st at 6:00 p.m. inside MacDonald Gymnasium.
