NECC CHAMPIONSHIP: No. 1 Endicott Clashes With No. 2 Elms For League Crown

BEVERLY, Mass. – For the fifth time in their storied rivalry, No. 1 Endicott (8-3) and No. 2 Elms (4-1) will meet in the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Championship this Saturday at 1 PM. Here's a preview of this weekend's title bout.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott is 3-1 all-time against Elms in the NECC Championship (2019: W, 3-1 | 2018: L, 3-0 | 2017: W, 3-0 | 2013: W, 3-0).
  • The Gulls lead the all-time series against Elms, 34-5; however, this will be the first meeting between the two programs since the 2019 NECC Championship as their highly anticipated 2020 regular season matchup was canceled due to COVID-19.
  • Elms enters Saturday's match ranked No. 1 in the conference in kills per set at 11.39.
  • The Blazers feature the 2019 NECC Player of the Year and three-time all-conference first team selection Jeremy Torres (Juncos, Puerto Rico).
  • Elms is 3-0 on the road this season.

The winner of Saturday's match will advance to the NCAA Tournament, which begins on Wednesday, April 21 in Salem, Virginia.
