Lipton, Emenaker Claim NECC Weekly Honors

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott men's volleyball student-athletes Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) and Gavin Emenaker (Newton, Mass.) have both received weekly awards from the New England Collegiate Conference (NECC). Lipton was named the NECC Player of the Week for the 11th time in his career, while Emenaker claimed NECC Rookie of the Week accolades for the first time in his career.

In a pair of matches against Nichols last week, Lipton averaged 4.33 kills per set and a .513 hitting percentage to lead the Gulls to a 2-0 (2-0 NECC) record versus the Bison. In match one of the weekend series, Lipton compiled a season-high 17 kills (.444) to go along with seven digs. Meanwhile, in match two, Lipton notched nine kills (.667), four service aces, three digs, and two block assists.

As for Emenaker, the freshman setter played a pivotal role in Endicott's 2-0 weekend against conference foe Nichols by averaging 11.00 assists per set. Emenaker dished out 12 assists in match one and followed up in match two with 10 assists.

WHAT'S NEXT

No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott (2-2, 2-0 NECC) is scheduled to host Eastern Nazarene on Wednesday, March 24 for a pair of matches at 6 and 8 PM, respectively.
