No. 8 Men’s Volleyball Turns Away Nichols, 3-0

DUDLEY, Mass. – The No. 8 nationally ranked Endicott men's volleyball defeated Nichols College, 3-0, by scores of 25-21, 27-25, and 25-17 on Friday evening.

Bryn Lipton (Rockford, Ill.) powered the offense behind a match-high 11 kills (.350).

Gabe Felicetti (Charlestown, R.I.) also added eight kills, while Nikolas Kasprzak (Windham, N.H.) and Rafa Robert (San Juan, Puerto Rico) chipped in with seven and six putaways, respectively.

As a team, Endicott hit .275 in the match (41K-16E-91TA) behind 25 assists from Gabe DeBenedetto (Rockford, Ill.).

BEYOND THE BOX SCORE

  • Tonight's match only featured 10 ties and four lead changes (S1: 4T-2L | S2: 4T-1L | S3: 2T-1L).
  • Lipton went a perfect 20-for-20 on serve-receive with eight of his receptions leading to kills.
  • The Gulls have won five straight matches (four shutouts) dating back to Friday, March 19.
  • Endicott is 6-0 all-time against Nichols.
  • The Gulls held the Bison under a .100 hitting percentage for the second time this season in three matches (.106 on 3/19; .000 on 3/20; .060 on 3/26).

No. 8 Endicott (5-2, 4-0 NECC) will travel to Wentworth on Wednesday, March 31 at 7 PM. Nichols (1-5, 1-4 NECC) hosts Northern Vermont-Johnson next Wednesday at 6 PM.
