Men’s Volleyball Earns USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award

USMC/AVCA TEAM ACADEMIC AWARD RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. – The Endicott men's volleyball team has received the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award for its efforts in the classroom during the 2020-21 academic year. It marks the third time in program history the Gulls have earned the award.

The award, initiated in the 1992-93 academic year, honors volleyball teams that maintain a year-long grade-point average of 3.30 on a 4.0 scale or 4.10 on a 5.0 scale.

In 2020-21, Endicott saw both the men and women receive the honor. The men were one of 35 NCAA Division III programs to claim the achievement. In total, 1,275 collegiate and high school teams earned the USMC/AVCA Team Academic Award for the 2020-2021 season.
