NECC SEMIFINALS: No. 1 Endicott Hosts No. 4 Nichols (7 PM)

BEVERLY, Mass. – The first-seeded Endicott men's volleyball team (7-3, 6-0 NECC) is set to host fourth-seeded Nichols (1-7, 1-6 NECC) in New England Collegiate Conference (NECC) Tournament semifinal round tonight at 7 PM. Here's a preview of the semifinal matchup.

FIVE THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

  • Endicott enters tonight's matched ranked No. 11 nationally in the latest American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Top-15 Poll.
  • As a team, the Gulls are positioned first in the NECC in kills (367), hitting percentage (.277, 17th nationally), assists (323), service aces (103), service aces per set (3.03, 3rd nationally), points (519.0), and points per set (15.3).
  • Nichols checks into tonight's match averaging 8.74 K/S, a .128 hitting percentage, 8.16 A/S, 1.16 SA/S, 10.19 D/S, and 11.6 PTS/S.
  • Endicott is 6-0 all-time against Nichols dating back to 2019.
  • Bison sophomore libero Nicholas Basco (Albany, N.Y.) was named the NECC Defensive Player of the Year, yesterday.
