The hosts took all three matchups in doubles play before the two sides split the six singles matches. Reigning TCCC Rookie of the Week Zach Arpey (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), Oli Joggi (Stoneham, Mass.), and Evan Ross (Worcester, Mass.) were all dual winners for the Blue and Green.
Arpey teamed with Devon Locke (St. Croix, Virgin Islands) for an 8-4 win at number four doubles while Joggi and Ross won 8-5 at the number two spot. Porter Williams (Raleigh, N.C.) and Jake Cohen (Barrington, R.I.) picked up a convincing 8-3 win at number three doubles to give the Gulls a 3-0 lead heading into singles play.
Wentworth’s Juan Rodriguez (Quito, Ecuador) cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win at number one singles while Thuan Nguyen (Randolph, Mass.) pulled out a win at the number two spot in three sets.
Joggie bounced Joel Vastl (North Salem, N.H.) in straight sets (6-2, 6-0) at number three singles while Arpey remained undefeated with a straight set win at number four.
Ross handled Tim Nguyen (Windsor, Conn.) in straight sets to improve to 5-2 on the season.
Endicott returns to action on Thursday (March 31) with a 3:30 home match against Salem State. Wentworth is also in action on Thursday when it travels to Brookline, Mass. to take on Suffolk at 6:00 p.m.
