BEVERLY, Mass. - Two early goals helped the Endicott College Gulls get past the Salve Regina University Seahawks in a TCCC matchup on Tuesday by a score of 2-0. Alexandra Parese (Wilton, Conn.) and senior Jennifer Beech (Devonshire, Bermuda) touched the back of the net to put the Gulls on top. The win improves the Gulls record to 11-2 (4-0 TCCC) while the Seahawks drop to 3-7 (1-3 TCCC) on the season.

Endicott was able to get on the board early as the freshman Parese was able to corral a missed shot from fellow freshman Anna Giannoni (Granby, Conn.) and deposit it past the Salve net-minder. Nearly ten minutes later, Jennifer Beech would take a direct pass on a corner from Lindsey Mills (Arlington, Mass.) and score from about 15 yards out.

The rest of the game would be a battle for field position as each team had opportunities to score. Salve Regina would get off all four of its shots in the game during the second period while Endicott was able to put another seven shots on goal but with no results. Parese almost scored her second goal of the game 13 minutes into the second half but the ball caromed of the post. Time would continue to pass and eventually expire with the score at 2-0.

Endicott goalie and current TCCC Defensive Player of the Week Chelsea DeFeo (York, Maine) was able to earn her eighth shutout of the year by making two saves. Salve Regina's Devin Eppley (Darien, Conn.) took the loss but was able to make four saves while facing 14 shots from the Endicott attack.

The Blue and Green look to continue their season when they host Wellesley College on Thursday in a non-conference matchup at 4:00 p.m. Salve Regina will try to bounce back from the loss when they host Saint Joseph's on Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in Newport, R.I.
