WESTON, Mass. - Endicott College had four different players score as the Gulls eased past Regis College, 5-0, in a The Commonwealth Coast Conference match-up in Weston, Mass. With the win Endicott improves to 7-1 overall (2-0 TCCC), while Regis falls to 0-7 (0-2 TCCC).
Lindsey Mills (Arlington, Mass.) got the scoring started as she beat Kristen Tavares (Acushnet, Mass.) to put Endicott up, 1-0. Senior Samantha Bourgeois (Gardner, Mass.) was credited with an assist on the Mills tally. Freshman Anna Giannoni (Granby, Conn.) doubled the EC advantage as she found the back of the net on a pass from Joanne Reid (Clarksville, Md.). Bourgeois would get in on the goal scoring to give Endicott a 3-0 lead at the break.
Freshman Alexandra Parese (Wilton, Conn.) scored back-to-back goals in the second half to lead Endicott to the 5-0 lead. Senior goalkeeper Chelsea DeFeo (York, Maine) made two saves in the first half before giving way to senior Aisling Mullen (Beverly, Mass.) for the combined shutout.
Endicott looks to keep its winning-streak alive as it hosts cross-town rival Salem State College on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
