No. 1 Baseball Sweeps CCC Weekly Awards

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — The No. 1 Endicott baseball team swept all three Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) weekly awards categories after its 3-0 conference slate last week.

Zach Stephenson (Mansfield, Mass.), Jordan Gottesman (Acton, Mass.) and Charlie Hale (Brookline, N.H.) took home the conference Player of the Week, Pitcher of the Week, and Co-Rookie of the Week awards, respectively.


ZACH STEPHENSON | CCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

- Stephenson started all three games in center field throughout No. 1 Endicott's 3-0 conference week

- Slashed .500 AVG / .538 OBP / .800 SLG in the three game slate

- Recorded a team-high five hits and six runs batted in on the week

- In Tuesday's 10-3 win at Gordon, the junior outfielder went 2-for-3 with two singles, a walk, and four RBI

- In Sunday's home doubleheader sweep of Nichols, he went 3-for-7 with three runs scored, two RBI, and a walk

- Cranked his first career home run in game two of the doubleheader against Nichols on Sunday, leading No. 1 Endicott to an 8-3 win

- This is Stephenson's first career CCC Player of the Week Award


 JORDAN GOTTESMAN | CCC PITCHER OF THE WEEK

- Gottesman went 1-0 on the week with a conference victory against Nichols in No. 1 Endicott's 3-0 conference week

- Pitched a career-high 7.0 innings and only allowed three hits, one earned run, three walks, and struck out eight in Endicott's 6-2 game one victory over Nichols Sunday

- He pitched an immaculate inning in the fifth inning of Sunday's game (nine pitches, nine strikes, three strikeouts)

- Recorded his team-high sixth win on Sunday, which also ranks tied for fifth-most in the nation as of 4/7

- This marks Gottesman's second career CCC Pitcher of the Week award (3/5/24)


CHARLIE HALE | CCC CO-FRESHMAN OF THE WEEK

- Hale went 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA in five innings pitched over Endicott's 3-0 conference week

- In his start at Gordon on Tuesday, he earned the win, pitching a career-high five innings with no earned runs allowed

- The freshman right-hander limited the Fighting Scots to just one hit and two walks in his five innings pitched (0.60 WHIP)

- He struck out three Gordon batters in the win

- This marks Hale's first career CCC Rookie of the Week Award
