No. 1 Baseball Falls To Wisconsin-Stevens Point, 8-4

DAVENPORT, Fla. — The No. 1 nationally ranked Endicott baseball team suffered its first loss of the season to Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Tuesday morning, 8-4.

WP (1-0): Nathan Krommenakker (Rudolph, Wis.) — 2.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 0 BB, 1 K
LP (0-1): Nicholas Cannata (Marlborough, Conn.) — 5.1 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 3 K

The Gulls jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third thanks to two doubles in the inning from Joey Frammartino (North Reading, Mass.) and Nicolas Notarangelo (Taunton, Mass.).

That score held until the top of the sixth, when the Pointers rallied for a seven-run frame.

Endicott got a run back in the bottom half with Brendan O'Neil's (Ponte Vedra, Fla.) team-leading fourth home run of the season.

The Gulls scraped across two more runs in the eighth and ninth innings, but were ultimately unable to catch up to the Pointers, dropping the game by an 8-4 score.
