Connolly Earns CCC Pitcher of the Week Honors

CCC RELEASE

BEVERLY, Mass. — Endicott junior right handed pitcher John Connolly (Attleboro, Mass.) has been named the Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league office earlier today.

Connolly was dominant in his lone start against Bates (W, 7-1) on Wednesday. The junior right-hander tossed six innings of one-run ball, scattering two hits and one walk around a career-high 10 strikeouts.

The six inning outing is the second longest of his career (3/21/23, St. Joseph's Maine, 7.0 innings).

His lone earned run of the game came on a delayed steal of home on a throwback to the pitcher's mound following a fog-ball triple that landed in the left-center gap.

He struck out two or more batters in three frames and filled up the zone throwing 53 of his 74 pitches for strikes (.716).

This is Connolly's second career CCC Pitcher of the Week award (3/27/23).
